Instructor: Krishna Prasad, PMPKrishna has an overall experience in IT of 27 years, of which 17 years has been in Project Management or Program Management Positions. He has a wide industry experience, having worked in Project and Program
Management Positions in such diverse organizations as IBM, Sun Microsystems, Canada Life, Fujitsu Consulting, Aviva Canada and FAME, now a part of SunGard. As a Project/ Program Manager, he has worked with Bell Canada, CIBC, and Bank of Montreal, among others.
Krishna has various certifications, including PMP, Prince 2 Practitioner Level, as well as CSC (2001).
Krishna is involved in PMI Southern Ontario Chapter, and has published an article in PMI SOC chapter Magazine, and is a part of the volunteer network of PMI SOC chapter. He also is an expert on Project Management and Data Warehousing in About.Com’s Expert Database, guiding and mentoring people around the world through the About.Com Network
Krishna has conducted many education courses, in IT (Computer Languages, Operating Systems, MS Project Principles, PMP Preparation and Project Management ) throughout his working career.

- Successfully conducted several corporate and individual courses for PMP with 100% success rate for the students in the subsequent PMP certification!
- Large Program Oversight – Managed a Report Management subprogram with many interconnected subprojects, as a part of Business Intelligence (BI) program in Canada Life. The entire program was worth $72 million (Canadian) with the Reporting subprogram (including building of a large Data Warehouse from start) alone valued at C$ 20 million, and a team size of 26 including Architects, Data Architects, Team Leads, ETL tool specialists, Business Analysts, and Programmer Analysts.
- Program Management of a large infrastructure program involving installation of hundreds of servers for locations spread across all of North America, establishing the processes and standards to follow, establishing the monitoring and control processes, and overall program responsibility.
- Management of multiple projects with staff responsibilities – Managed a team of 18 professionals spread over different projects, including two large data warehouse building projects that included loading of terabytes of Corporate Data from Worldwide data feeds and implementing an investment strategy research engine to handle the data.
- Managed a division of PMO for Canada Life, overseeing the work of 16 Project Managers involved in various projects. This position involved implementation of PMO standards for the projects, review of the project plans for adequate resource allocation, evaluation of the reports to determine the status of the project, review of major issues and concerns in the project, roll up of the project status to the senior management and also instituting standards to be followed in several areas (eg Contingency Plans)
- A combination of business knowledge (especially in Financial industry) and technical knowledge (both legacy and modern enterprise computing technology) with a clear understanding of business priorities and business value in delivery of specific functionality.
